Night Elf Mohawk Billboard

Not sure how to go about this one so...

I work for a Games shop in Derby these days and putting company related stuff online is a bit of a contentious issue (but my manager reckons in this case it's all cool). Anyway, as a neat little promotional device for World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm my boss asked me if I could knock out a poster to encourage pre-orders from customers. Now, I've never actually played WOW but I'd seen the Mr T TV ads and asked if I could do something based on that.

That was deemed ok and after knocking out a biro rough set to work. The whole thing was done over a single weekend and it shows. Anatomy, proportions and angles went out of the window as I did'nt have the time to find ref models of the Mohawk m'dealy. At one point I was inking it while crouched on the floor against a mirror and realised when reflected how lopsided the armour was.

The whole thing was drawn and reproduced at 1:1 scale on A1 as well so it was'nt possible to shrink the work down to hide bad inking and minor errors. What you see here is a copy I got done at a commercial printers and had laminated so that it could go into an A-board and still be weather protected. The original was done on extremely thin poster paper which bled and warped from the heavy use of paintmarkers and pro-markers. That's currently rolled up in my room until I figure out what to do with it.

As you can imagine, because of its size it was somewhat impractical to scan so my supervisor Craig took a snap shot of it on the streets of Derby with his I Phone. Cheers and lovely Craig!
