The UK Web Comix Thing 2009

The original was done on A3 with this being slightly under A4. There's a few changes between the original and the final version too. The grey city scapes were originally done with promarkers but the bristol board I was using did'nt take to them well making it look blotchy. Worse still I put hatching on the tops of the skylines rather than the bottom creating a weird negative effect where in the building got lighter as they further down the page.
The result was doing it all over again digitally in Artrage 2.

Also, at one point the UK was overly rendered with too many black sections. This meant it sank in to the flag and contrasted too much with the other more visible sections of text.

Hopefully the end result works well enough as a functional design and advertisment. Afterall, it's main aim is to get people to come to a comics convention.
