Sorry for the delay. Scripting is mostly to blame. The aim was to have this strip running at a page a week however half term and my birthday arrived at the same time. So this is the first of two pages in one update.

After I had a couple pages I took my new work to the BICS 2007 con and showed a bunch of artists and editors for advice. Most were positive and cut my mistakes a bit of slack because i'd explained it was an experimental piece. Those critics included Rob from Blink Twice, Matt Smith, editor of 2000ad, Daniel Merlin Goodbery, Dave Evans of Future Quake, Geof at Fetishman, Sonia and Emma at Sweatdrop and the lads of TFTF.

This strip is based on the conversation I had with D'Israeli. In the past he's given me a lot of time and advice so I value his opinion as highly as the other people listed above. While not being the only person to have negative feedback on my new work his was definately the most constructive. It made me re-evaluate where I want to go with this comic.

It was a long conversation too. I had to take a lot of the dialogue out while trying to remember who said what and not portraying anyone falsely. Compromises were made as I tried to make the lettering a point smaller to fit in the speech bubbles and still retain what was actually said.

Ultimately I'm not too happy with how that aspect of the sttrip turned out and has got me thinking about doing a strip on the limitations and advantages of lettering in the future.

This was also supposed to be the first full colour strip with water colours but again time was against me.

Nice; is that a sort of one-eyed Yoda puppet o.O?

Anyway, lovely clean lines as ever! Oh, that reminds me, Comix Thing is open for business; will you be there?
